Urban Communities Authority

The Urban Communities Authority was established by Law No. 59 of November 1979, and it’s responsible for establishing and developing new urban projects. The authority is managed by executive bodies from the government and civil society participation is carried out through boards of trustees representing different segments of society, investors and government representatives. The Authority’s projects were funded from the day it was founded and until June 2006, and then managed to self finance all of its projects starting from July 2006.
